Please reach us at ask@spennymoorfootclinic.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  • Warm Welcome and Administrative Details
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by the clinic staff. You will of been asked to complete a medical history form, which includes information about your current medications, allergies, and any past surgeries or treatments. This information is crucial for your podiatrist to understand your overall health and tailor the treatment accordingly.

  • Comprehensive Foot  Assessment
Your podiatrist will conduct a detailed examination of your feet. This includes assessing the skin, nails, and feet. They may also perform vascular and neurological assessments to check blood circulation and nerve function, which is especially important for individuals with conditions like diabetes .

  • Discussion of Findings and Treatment Options
After the assessment, your podiatrist will discuss their findings with you. They will explain any diagnoses and outline potential treatment options. Treatment may be completed during this initial consultation, depending on the nature of your condition and the agreed-upon plan.

  • Personalised Treatment Plan
Based on the assessment and your individual needs, your podiatrist may be able to treat the issue while at your first appointment, for issues such as corn removals and ingrown nails. Your podiatrist will then develop a personalised treatment plan and discuss this with you, giving you the best options for your foot health.

  • Follow-Up and Ongoing Care
If further treatment is necessary, follow-up appointments will be scheduled. The clinic emphasises the importance of ongoing care and will work with you to monitor progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed .
